According to the annual reports of political parties, politicians and donors from Prague are often generous. For example, the chairman of Prague’s ANO Ondřej Prokop donated a million to the movement, the new TOP 09 councilor Michal Hroza gave 650 thousand crowns.
The largest donation ever, 2.2 million, was received by ODS from the Bernard Family Brewery, belonging to Stanislav Bernard. Brno senator Jiří Dušek gave almost 1.3 million, an unsuccessful candidate for the Senate, surgeon Čestmír Neoral sent 800,000, Prague developer Passerinvest Group donated 700,000 crowns to ODS, and the EUC clinic in Prague half a million.

According to him, Prokop’s million for ANO comes from business. “I wanted to be an example to my colleagues from the movement. Unlike other parties, we paid for the campaign completely out of our own money. There were a number of people from Prague who also contributed hundreds of thousands,” he told Právu.

He was followed, for example, by ANO MP Patrik Nacher, who sent 400,000 to the movement. Other Prague politicians also contributed similarly. New Prague councilor Michal Hroza donated 650,000 to his TOP 09. Ondřej Kania, the founder of the Prague Humanities Gymnasium, sent half a million.
Former councilor of Prague 5 David Dušek helped 800,000 to the Elders’ Movement. His namesake Daniel Dušek also sent 800,000. An interesting donation from businessman Zdenek Hořánek and his company HZ Real. Altogether almost 1.3 million. As reported by iRozhlas, Hořánek won a closed selection process and became the chairman of the board of the municipal company SNEO, which belongs to Prague 6, where STAN is part of the government coalition.
Lidovci received the most, 1.5 million from the developer Luďek Sekyra, who has supported the party for a long time. The Přísaha movement of Robert Šlachta received an equally large donation, from Jiří Suchánek, an entrepreneur with security systems.
Among the party leaders who published the annual report for last year, Labor Minister Marian Jurečka was the most generous to his party, donating 213,000. MEP and Communist leader Kateřina Konečná gave her party 197,000. Minister of the Interior and chairman of STAN Vít Rakušan donated 150,000 to his movement, ANO leader Andrej Babiš gave 50,000.
The Prime Minister and head of the ODS, Petr Fiala, as well as the Speaker of the House of Representatives and TOP 09, Markéta Pekarová Adamová, are missing from the list of donors in the annual reports.
