On Tuesday afternoon, the public and family said goodbye to the last Czech RAF pilot, Army General Emil Boček, at the Brno crematorium. For example, the Chief of the General Staff of the Army of the Czech Republic, Karel Řehka, or the British Ambassador to the Czech Republic, Matthew Field, arrived at the ceremony. Boček had a funeral with military honors, which included a flyover of gripens over the crematorium, and after the ceremony also military helicopters releasing smoke in the color of the Czech tricolor. The war veteran died on March 25, exactly one month after his 100th birthday.
