The list of branches that the post office in Pardubice planned to close included branches in Jan Zajíce Street, Na Drážka, Dukelské hrdinů Square, Jan Palach Street, Dražkovice Street and Komenský Street and General Svoboda Street.
“For example, the cancellation of the branch in Jana Palacha Street would mean significant complications for our residents. On the one hand, this would cancel all branches in city district V, on the other hand, this particular branch is easily serviced and barrier-free. In the case of the Jan Palach post office, we do not see a single reason to close it,” said Mayor Jan Nadrchal (ANO), according to whom it is impossible to leave the entire city district without a single branch.
Specifically, in Pardubice, it was possible to negotiate an exchange, when the branch of the Czech Post at the train station will be closed, and on the other hand, the mentioned branch in Jana Palacha Street will remain open.

The Na Drážce branch will also remain. The considered number of closed establishments in Pardubice will be reduced from seven to six. Thanks to this meeting, at least one branch will be preserved in every city district in which there is a post office at the moment,” added Nadrchal.
