“They were examined by paramedics, none of them were injured,” said Vendula Matějů, the spokeswoman for the South Bohemian Fire Department. “Alternative accommodation was found for them and they managed to secure alternative clothes from the regional fire department’s supplies,” she added.
Thirteen fire trucks, including two retractable ladders, responded to the fires. “Firefighters brought out two propane-butane bottles from the burning house. At the same time, they towed several cars and a four-wheeler from the area,” Matějů specified, according to which the fire destroyed the hostel in its entirety.
The fire, which broke out around four, was extinguished before seven in the morning. “The cause of the fire is under investigation. The investigators will return to the fire scene in the following days,” added Matějů.
