“The police went to the fire a few minutes after half past ten in the morning. There was a fire in the house on Jana Maluchy Street. After arriving at the scene, they saw smoke coming from the apartment on the third floor,” informed police spokeswoman Eva Michalíková.
She added that police officers, in cooperation with firefighters, immediately began evacuating people from the house. “According to initial information, the paramedics treated a total of four people. Of these, one woman and a five-year-old child were taken by rescuers to a medical facility,” the police spokeswoman specified.
