Dejvické theater, which has a relatively small capacity and getting tickets to it is an almost superhuman task, informed people about this version of the dernier through social networks in mid-March. And since then, the number of cinemas that decided to broadcast it has also been increasing. Derniera was sold out not only in theaters, but also in cinemas.
The play, which was directed by Michal Vajdička based on the stories from the book and screenplay for Irvine Welsh’s film Acid House, premiered in February 2012 and won the Alfréd Radok Award for the best production of 2012. Ivan Trojan, who played the main role of God in it, he also received and was nominated for the Thalia Award for his acting performance. In addition to him, for example, Václav Neužil, Miroslav Krobot, Martin Myšička, Jaroslav Plesl, Klára Melíšková and Lenka Krobotová played in the performance.
“In the rather bizarre form of a tainted God, Ivan Trojan is not only a sarcastic glossator of everything happening, but above all completes the perfect image of an emptied world. It thus fundamentally contributes to highlighting the theme of the production, which is both funny and depressing, where the laughter immediately freezes. As from the metaphor of human society that no longer even recognizes God,” the expert jury of the Thalia Prize described Trojan’s role.
The theater itself warned in the program that this was the most profane production in the history of DD and drew attention to the large number of vulgar words that are part of the dialogues of the play, which was therefore not suitable for viewers under the age of fifteen and those who are more sensitive to ways of expression.
