Lexus revealed to the world the second generation of its luxury MPV with the name LM, which debuted at the Shanghai Auto Show in China. In addition, the car will also head outside of Asia and will be available in a total of sixty countries around the world, including Europe. Only the market in America will remain outside.
The car received a number of different improvements for the 2024 model year. Lexus worked for a long time to ensure that the body had higher torsional stiffness, which was finally increased by 50 percent between generations. The new LM also features a Frequency-Sensitive Piston Valve system that improves ride quality with a more sensitive piston valve on the dampers.

However, the LM is all about the comfort it can provide to its passengers, and Lexus has invested accordingly. The car will be offered in four-, six- or seven-seat variants, with the four-seat version being the most luxurious. It will offer a partition between the front and rear seats, a 48-inch widescreen display, a refrigerator, storage spaces or heated armrests.

The car is very intelligent and recognizes when a person is cold and what parts of the body the cold affects. It automatically selects seat heating and air conditioning settings accordingly. Conversely, the system works even in the heat. Apart from that, the LM is also extremely safe, as Lexus has equipped it with the Safety System+ suite.

The system has an army of assistants and guardians, such as emergency braking, radar cruise control, warning when leaving the driving lane unintentionally and other similar functions. Of particular note is the driver monitoring system, which can recognize based on body position that the driver cannot continue driving. In this case, it turns on the warning “double blinkers” and stops. At the same time, he calls for help using the eCall system.
Lexus has not yet published more detailed information about the vehicle, but in Europe we know that the car will arrive with the designation 350h, i.e. as a full-hybrid car with a 2.5-liter engine. The highest combined power is 250 horsepower and a torque of 239 Nm. In addition, it also has E-Four all-wheel drive, i.e. rear axle drive using an electric motor.
