“Directors are obliged to provide the results to the public within two working days. So on Wednesday, May 3 at the latest,” Patáková told Novinkám. However, some schools will do so today, i.e. on Friday.

Capacity issues

Due to the strong population year, problems with the capacity of places can be expected in some regions and fields. According to the earlier statement of its spokeswoman Aneta Lednová, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Science does not know how many are on offer for freshmen starting this September. The school founders have an overview, i.e. in the case of secondary schools, usually the regions.

In addition, some experts encourage the abolition of uniform admissions. The schoolboy’s family background also plays an important role in preparing for exams.
Daniel Münich from the Institute for Democracy and Economic Analysis stated, for example, that the chance for children’s education in the Czech Republic significantly affects the economic and social status of parents.
According to the program director of the EDUin organization Miroslav Hřebecký, the error of the current system of applying to secondary schools is, among other things, that students can submit only two applications. According to him, this leads to tactics instead of choosing a field that students really want to pursue. Hřebecký also criticizes that the public does not know how the exams created by Cermat are linked to the curriculum in primary schools. It is not even known what the tasks in the uniform tests test.
