After 2:00 p.m., the participants of the event called the Peace March set off from Republic Square to the monument on Žižkov, about a kilometer and a half away as the crow flies. The group consists of around 200 people and is accompanied by police officers in uniform and plainclothes.
For example, SPD deputy Jiří Kobza, Trikolora chairwoman Zuzana Majerová, former secretary of ex-president Václav Klaus Ladislav Jakl, or another SPD deputy and failed presidential candidate Jaroslav Bašta are speaking out for the initiative.
In addition to Jakl, Petr Bahník from the Dost activity, security expert David Bohbot and communist Josef Skála, who was recently convicted of denying genocide in connection with the so-called Katyn massacre, are scheduled to speak at Vítkov.
According to the information published on the website, the authors of the initiative consider the current government of Petr Fiala to be a puppet cabinet carrying out foreign assignments, which is dragging the Czech Republic into a foreign conflict. By all accounts, this is supposed to be a war in Ukraine, which has been facing Russian aggression for more than a year.

According to them, the “destruction of national identity” is taking place in the Czech Republic, which they want to prevent with the cooperation of “national opposition forces”. The goal of this effort should be the return of “true values and the re-flourishing of our country”. The organizers also want to support peace talks in the war in Ukraine.
