Mercedes hid the finer design details of the car under the camouflage. The station wagon will traditionally differ from the already presented sedan from the central b-pillar onwards.
Wide tail lamps can be seen, probably connected together by a decorative strip. The silhouette does decrease towards the rear tear-off edge, but in the spirit of the “E” in the form of a station wagon focusing on maximum luggage capacity, the rear is still quite angular.
Inside, the new station wagon should look like a sedan, including up to three screens of the MBUX Superscreen scheme.
It mainly relies on a hybrid four-cylinder, either with mild hybrid or plug-in hybrid assistance.
It is not yet clear when the station wagon variant will arrive. The sedan will go on sale in leading markets in the summer. In the future, sharp AMG engines are also expected, probably hybrid again, but an off-road model based on a station wagon, i.e. the All-Terrain version, is also not ruled out.
