More data for the same tariff price
The price drop is due to the current trend, where operators offer higher data limits for equally expensive tariffs. This leads to increased data consumption and thus to a decrease in the average unit price for one MB of data.
The price of a mobile call decreased by 0.6 percent to 0.73 crowns per minute, while the price of an SMS increased by one penny to 0.56 crowns.
At the end of 2022, there were 15.2 million active SIM cards in the Czech Republic. The number of transferred telephone numbers in mobile networks increased by one percent to 530,000 last year.
As for fixed Internet connections, there were 4.025 million last year. This means an increase of 2.2 percent compared to 2021.
