This is not Aerosmith’s last farewell, they had a similar intention years ago. In 2017, they graduated as part of Aero-Vederci Baby! Tour series of performances in Europe. But then it turned out that they intend to play even more concerts.
Drummer Joey Kramer, who played with the band for the last time in 2020, will not participate in the upcoming farewell tour. Due to a hand injury, he did not drum for seven months, but after his recovery, an interesting situation occurred. His teammates opposed his return to the lineup, and he even considered suing them. He finally joined the others in February 2020.
At the time of the covid-19 pandemic, however, he focused primarily on taking care of his health, family matters, and his wife Linda died in June 2022 at the age of 55. On that account, he decided not to go on the upcoming tour, and his technician John Douglas will replace him behind the drum kit.
In addition to him, the lineup includes singer Steven Tyler, guitarists Joe Perry and Brad Whitford, and bassist Tom Hamilton.
