Twenty-six-year-old James Casper is still unable to properly express his feelings after his twenty-eight-year-old wife, Jenni, told him they were going to have triplets. Originally, it was supposed to be only twins, but an examination in the twelfth week of pregnancy revealed that there will be three girls in the end. “What will we do now? How can we do it? I was completely clueless, but at the same time so happy,” James describes with distance.

An examination in the twentieth week then showed that the triplets would be identical. The girls were born on March 31, which was nine weeks before the standard due date, so they had to remain in the care of doctors for some time.

But now they are already with their parents, and the Caspers have five girls at home: ten-year-old Danica and four-year-old Gabriela were joined by triplets Harper-Gwen, Marvella and Evalynn.

James told the AP that at first, all three girls were literally identical, but over time, some small differences became apparent.

So when the proud parents brought them home from the maternity hospital, they left them with hospital identification tapes with their names for a few days, and even now they have to be very careful to distinguish them correctly. That’s why, for example, they put everyone on the same specific chair so that they always have an overview of which is which.

According to experts, the probability of conceiving identical triplets is very low, approximately one in 200 million. “It’s absolutely amazing, I’ve been telling Jenna she has to try the lottery now,” beamed a happy James.

In this light, winning the lottery seems quite realistic. In both cases, these are significantly more likely phenomena than the birth of identical triplets.
