From 2015 to 2022, 5.1 billion crowns were released from the budget and from European Union funds for these projects. These were used for the purchase of equipment, the modernization of educational and training centers and the construction of stations. A total of 293 projects were supported, mainly by the Fire and Rescue Service.
The police submitted 10 requests for approximately 170 million crowns, which were not implemented, however, because the Ministry of the Interior did not define the needs of the police in time and after their update, the funds were already used up by other components of the IZS.
While the firemen thus acquired equipment through 171 projects for 1.658 billion crowns, the police did not purchase any equipment. The medical rescue service implemented two projects for 101 million crowns.

The inspectors concluded that the MMR set support targets without knowledge of the actual needs of the IZS components, and the method of monitoring targets and impacts was not ideal either.
“For example, in the methodology for calculating the fulfillment of the indicator ‘readiness of the IZS components’, a person who completes training is counted as many times as he has completed training. Although this methodology provides information on the number of (even duplicate) completions of education and training, it does not indicate the extent to which these activities contribute to increasing preparedness for solving and managing risks and disasters,” stated the SAO, pointing to the fact that this indicator was already almost 200 percent fulfilled two years before the end of the program period.
At the same time, the SAO stated that during the inspection of nine beneficiaries, it did not find any wrongdoing and that the funds were used efficiently and effectively.
