According to the Moscow Times, Aksyonov specified that the said apartment was bought in 2013 by Zelensky’s wife, Olena, together with several other assets. It is said that it was also seized. “As we promised, the enemies of Russia will not profit in Crimea,” added Aksyonov.
Russia has been occupying the Ukrainian peninsula since 2014. At that time, it annexed it to its territory, but most of the world does not recognize this. As of February 2023, Russian authorities have seized approximately 700 properties owned by Ukrainian entities.
