He will also deal with another case of Jakub Jašek, who is again suspected of approving genocide. For the same criminal act, he was already illegally given a six-month suspended sentence of two years, a fine and a one-year ban on staying in Prague.
“A proposal was submitted to punish one person for damaging another’s property due to a national motive, using violence due to a national motive and rioting,” state attorney Katarína Kandová told ČT about the first case.
According to her, the police suspected one more person in the attack on the car, but it was not possible to find out who it was.
As the video with the attack on a Ukrainian woman in a car at the Museum yesterday is circulating, I managed to get a complete version with the same car (marks are in place) from a different angle. In addition to the fact that a man was driving (female passenger), you have the whole fight there. Make up your own mind. CC @FilipHorky, @MichalKubal. pic.twitter.com/ShxfCsHhhq

Police officers dealt with several cases related to the behavior of event participants. The court has so far decided on Jašek, who, according to the non-judgmental verdict, publicly approved war crimes at the March demonstration by wearing a patch with the letter Z on his backpack, which has become a symbol of Russia’s war in Ukraine. On the sleeve of his jacket, he still had a patch with the logo of the Russian private Wagner Group, which is participating in the fighting in Ukraine. The man refused approval, testified in court that he condemned war crimes.
Now he is suspected of the same crime again, according to investigators, he committed it at another gathering. “A motion was filed for punishment. I do not yet have information about the meeting order,” said Kandová.

The police also dealt with the case of another man who, according to them, called for the Ukrainian flag to be pulled down from the National Museum in March. After the anti-government demonstration, several hundred participants tried to break into the building and tear down the flag. The court imposed a suspended sentence on this man with a criminal order for incitement to commit a crime, but neither the accused nor the prosecutors agreed with it and filed an objection against him. The court will hear the case in June.
CT reminded that criminal investigators are still investigating a pair of men who attacked police officers during the protest in connection with the March demonstration. One reported himself to the police, according to the latest information, they are still looking for the other. They are suspected of violence against an official.
