Slovaks elected new deputies at the weekend, and the political podcast Llevo dole set out to soak up the atmosphere in the election staffs. Lucie Stuchlíková watched how the liberals from Progressive Slovakia were doing. And on Václav Dolejší, Robert Fico’s Direction and Peter Pellegrini’s Voice came out, derisively called “the letter of Direction”.
The staff of Progressive Slovakia looked and had a similar atmosphere to the presidential staff of General Petr Pavel. Which, as it turned out later, was no accident. And it was celebrated here practically from the beginning – when the party came out as the winner in the exit poll.

“But what happened last time, when the exit poll also gave the progressives the upper hand. After midnight, it became clear that there would be no victory, the fun died down, the election results were played instead of music, and the dancing fans pulled out chairs from the warehouse and sat down on them dejectedly,” Lucie Stuchlíková describes the atmosphere.

At Směr, it was exactly the opposite. The huddled party members isolated themselves from reporters upstairs and, until the results looked good, indicated they were doing their own counting.
But when it was clear that they had won, exuberant celebrations broke out, during which, among other things, there was dancing and shouting on the balcony. “Drinking, singing. The politicians of the Direction fell completely into triumphalism and lost their inhibitions,” Václav Dolejší describes what happened to the winners.
