The company Wargaming, which is known for example for World of Tanks games, has one of its studios in Kyiv, which continues to operate and produce new games despite the war in Ukraine. It was for this reason that she decided to found the WargamingUnited initiative. She informed about it on her website.
The charity project is based on the fact that each of the six games will have special Ukrainian-themed packs and customization elements created by artists from the Wargaming Kyiv studio. Players can get premium content and help Ukraine at the same time.
From every WargamingUnited package purchased, the company plans to donate 100% of the earnings through United24. This is Ukraine’s official fundraising platform for the purchase of Type C ambulances. They are highly specialized vehicles equipped with the necessary defibrillators, cardiac monitors, oxygen tanks and ventilators needed to keep the injured alive until they reach the operating room. Every ambulance funded will help save hundreds of lives.
The packs are supposed to cover World of Tanks, World of Tanks Blitz, World of Tanks Modern Armor, World of Warships, World of Warships: and World of Warplanes. The project will last from October 18 to November 1.
In the past year and a half, Wargaming contributed donations to help Ukrainian civilians, medical aid and equipment during the first week of the war, and later they also supported the victims of the Kachov Dam disaster.
