Polls have been below five percent for a long time, culture wars and radical party members who do not help the party much with their homophobic statements. In the middle of the election period, the People’s Party is solving how to consolidate and reach more voters.
The authors of the podcast Left Down went to their program conference, where people promised a safe country, ecology, places in kindergartens or contributions to clubs.

“People’s people want to wash away the stigma of farts, that’s why they show off electric cars, technology, talk about solving climate change. But it’s difficult when some partisan always jumps in with statements that beef is beef or that wine is not alcohol,” describes Václav Dolejší.
Explosive topics were already discussed by the People’s Party at an internal party conference a month ago – and they agreed that radical statements should stop. In Prague’s Cubex, only bright tomorrows looked like this.
“However, there were not many concrete plans at the conference. With the exception of 70,000 places for pre-school children or contributions to clubs, they were actually more like phrases,” evaluates Lucie Stuchlíková.
