It offers simple use of the web interface of any internet browser for payment, the town hall announced today in a press release on the city’s website. Motorists already have the MPLA application available for cashless payment.
More than half of parking fee payments are paid by motorists without cash, and the new Parkum service should strengthen the trend. According to the representatives of the city, its advantage is primarily that it is also available to people who do not want to install applications on their phones, store data about the vehicle or payment cards.
“By adding another variant of electronic payment, we want to give the citizens of the city of Zlín a simple and convenient option to pay for parking online and from anywhere,” said Deputy Mayor Michal Čížek (ANO). The Parkum service operates, for example, in Brno, Olomouc, Špindlerův Mlýn or Frýdek-Místek.
Zlín technical services operate three dozen parking machines in several locations in the city. There are almost 600 parking spaces with parking machines. They also manage paid parking lots, there are five of them in operation together with almost five hundred parking spaces. Parking spaces are also offered by other entities in the city.
