List News is preparing a lot of specials for this year’s Day of the Fight for Freedom and Democracy. Already on Thursday the 16th, viewers can look forward to a special of the program Ptám se já, where Marie Bastlová invited an exclusive guest, Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová. You can watch the exclusive interview on Thursday after 3 p.m.
However, we are planning much more for November 17 itself. As is traditional, the concert on Wenceslas Square will be performed by the presenter of Happy Monday, Jindřich Šídlo, and the podcast Vlevo dole will also perform on the same stage, specifically at 19:00.
But this year, for the first time, Nauzal will also log in live directly from the Národní class. And you can be there too. From 1pm to 6pm you can watch the faces of the most popular podcasts live at the DRN Palace. You can also follow everything important on the event on Facebook.

From 1:10 p.m. you can look forward to the performance of the Happy Podcast composed by Jindřich Šídlo, Konstantin Sulimenko and Tereza Povolná. The creators of the satirical program will remember how Jindřich Šídlo fought for democracy in a light-hearted format “grandpa, tell me how it was back then”. Will the nostalgic reveler be able to convince his fellow 20-somethings that the legacy of November 17 is still relevant?
At 1:40 p.m., we continue with politics – and politics is synonymous with Seznam Zprávách duo Lucie Stuchlíková and Václav Dolejší in the Vlevo dole podcast. Experienced political commentators will discuss how Czech politicians abuse November 17 and who among them does it the most. But this time they won’t be alone. And you can be sure that there will be no shortage of spicy political behind-the-scenes stories even now.
At 14:10 you can look forward to the first broadcast of Lenka Kabrhelova and the 5:59 podcast team. In this special, Kabrhelová, a direct participant in the events of 1989, is interviewed. How did the lives of female students of that time change in the following decades thanks to the Velvet Revolution? 5:59 will ask about that too.
The business podcast Ve váta will continue at 2:40 p.m. Moderator Markéta Bidrmanová will discuss with her guest, the owner of Café Louvre Sylvio Spohr, how business has changed in the free Czech Republic.
Nor will Ptám se me moderator Maria Bastlová be absent from Národní třída. The first topic of the Seznam Zpráv hard talk will be dedicated to the teaching of civic education and modern history. Can today’s generation of schoolchildren be inspired and engaged by the events of November 17? We ask the award-winning teacher.
You can also look forward to the popular “Vata” at 3:40 p.m. This time, representatives of two generations of successful entrepreneurs will meet at Markéta Bidrmanová’s, each looking for their own unique path in life and business.
We will stay with the economy with Mariá Bastlová, who will also ask questions at 4:20 p.m. Specifically, Bastlová will be interested in what prospects the Czech economy and society have for the future.
The whole afternoon ends at 17:22 with the 5:59 podcast. What are the implications of the November 17 link in the political-cultural-social context? And what are we actually celebrating? Lenka Kabrhelová asks publicist Petr Fischer.
Even those of you who are not going to Národní třída will be able to watch the entire holiday program. Through the stream on Seznam Zprávách, which starts on Friday at 1:10 p.m., you can enjoy all the specials from the comfort of your home.
