The police charged 19 people and two companies suspected of manipulating public contracts announced by the Pardubice municipality and companies founded by the city. He suspects them of breach of duty in managing someone else’s property, negotiating an advantage when awarding a public contract, accepting a bribe, bribing and abusing the authority of an official. The accused are still being detained, Jaroslav Ibehej, spokesman for the National Center against Organized Crime (NCOZ), said in a press release today.
Ibehej previously reported that the NCOZ carried out criminal proceedings in parallel with the Military Police. They intervened in several places in the Czech Republic, for example in Pardubice.
