According to the Ukrainian media, the Ukrainian secret service SBU has eliminated a Ukrainian collaborator in Russia who was working in Ukraine as an official of the occupation administration. Citing sources from the Ukrainian security forces, the Unian agency and the Ukrainska Pravda portal reported this today. According to them, it is Oleksandr Slisarenka, who since 2022 has been the deputy head of the Russian occupation administration of the Kharkiv region.
According to the media, Slisarenko previously worked in the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs and fought on the side of pro-Russian separatists between 2021 and 2022. According to Ukrainian media, he was also involved in the atrocities committed by Russia in the occupied parts of Ukraine.
The SBU accused Slisarenka of treason, but the official of the occupation administration did not come to court and instead fled to Russia, the media reports. According to them, he died on November 16 in Belgorod, Russia, when the car he was driving exploded. It was an assassination organized by the SBU, media sources claim. The Unian agency noted that the Russian authorities did not inform about the explosion of the vehicle in Belgorod.
