The Israeli army arrested Muhammad Abu Salmiya, the director of the Shifa hospital, which is the largest in Gaza. Arrest on the net X confirmed by his cousin Adham Abu. Along with Salmiya, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) detained at least two other doctors, the Al Jazeera website reported.
“It’s a clear sign that there is no immunity inside the Gaza Strip, even for medics or journalists – the attacks hit all sections of the Palestinian community,” said one Al Jazeera journalist based in the southern Gaza Strip.
In the Shifa hospital, the Israeli army carried out a large-scale raid as part of a ground operation and claims that a Hamas tunnel complex was located under the complex, which they are trying to prove through published videos. Hamas, representatives of the hospital and other people working in Gaza reject this and remind that the tunnel under the Shifa hospital was built by the Israeli army itself in 1983.
Palestinian Red Crescent on Wednesday on the web X announced that he had begun to evacuate the remaining patients from Šífa Hospital. According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, there are still over 250 patients at the facility and 400 civilians sheltering from the fighting.
