The damaged Central Bohemian Region was referred to proceedings in civil law matters. Kateřina Kaspar Studecká, spokeswoman for the District Court for Prague 5, which dealt with the case as the first instance, told ČTK.
The indictment claimed that from March 2018 to May 2020, Mastrina caused damage of 1.5 million crowns to the region. According to the verdict of the criminal court, she should have compensated approximately 1.3 million crowns. Now the civil court will decide on compensation. In the rest, the verdict remained in force. Mastrini heard a one-year prison sentence suspended for 2.5 years. She was also fined 140,000 crowns.
The externs worked fewer hours than they were paid for, according to police. Mastrini signed the work reports. The woman has denied wrongdoing in the past. According to the defense, there was no damage.
The Supreme Court already ruled in the summer without a public hearing. However, it was only in November that the decision was delivered to the parties to the proceedings. The full justification is not yet available in the Supreme Court database.
