On Saturday, December 2 and a day later, always from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the open-air museum invites you to the Advent season is here again event. Visitors will meet Luck, Barbora and Mikuláš with his entourage. In the homesteads, they learn about plucking feathers, spinning on a spinning wheel or carving a nativity scene. They will be able to taste sweets, cabbage and mulled wine. “We have prepared a workshop for the children, in which they can decorate gingerbread, make ornaments for the tree or bird feeders,” said Maděričová.
On Saturday, December 16, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the staff of the open-air museum will introduce visitors to traditional folk culture in the period from Christmas Day to Three Kings. During the Radostná novina event, Christmas wafers will also be baked and lead will be cast. In addition, people will see what the Christmas Eve board looked like in the past. In the barn, they will be able to view the works of art students of the Basic Art School in Uherské Hradiště, in which they have portrayed their view of Christmas using various techniques. “There will also be Štěpánská obchozka, the mysterious Sprechta and the Three Kings. We will sing well-known and lesser-known carols together, and you can take the Bethlehem light home with you,” said Maděričová.
On the second day of Christmas, i.e. December 26, the traditional St. Stephen caroling will take place in the open-air museum from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for the eleventh time.
