The family will continue to run the company. CSG representatives informed about this in a press release on Friday. They did not disclose the price of the transaction. For the Czechoslovak Group, this is another recent acquisition in Italy, at the end of last year the company acquired a majority stake in the leading manufacturer of small caliber ammunition, Fiocchi Munizioni.
According to company owner Michal Strnad, CSG’s motivation to buy Armi Perazzi was, among other things, “strengthening CSG’s international prestige and recognition as a global and innovative industrial group expanding in Europe and the USA”. At the same time, he said that Armi Perazzi is not only a prestigious brand in the field of gunshot wounds for sports shooters and elite hunters, but also a stable and prosperous company. The company has branches in Italy and California and exports its products to 50 countries. According to CSG, its sales for 2021 amounted to 14.3 million euros (roughly 350 million crowns).
CSG spokesman Andrej Čírtek stated in a press release that Armi Perazzi was founded in 1957 by Italian rifleman Daniele Perazzi and the company produces around 1,500 weapons annually. It specializes in shotguns for trap sports and hunting. According to the spokesman, these weapons helped shooters from different countries win 62 Olympic medals at 11 Olympics, and one of the owners of Armi Perazzi’s weapon is the Czech gold medalist from the Beijing Games, David Kostelecký.
Holding Czechoslovak Group, whose main branches are engineering and the automotive, railway, aviation and defense industries, announced in mid-October that it is buying from the American company Vista Outdoor its Sporting Products ammunition division, which includes a number of brands and manufacturers of small-caliber ammunition and its components in USA. The price of the deal was 1.91 billion dollars (roughly 45 billion crowns). Its completion is subject to the approval of the shareholders of small-caliber ammunition manufacturer Vista Outdoor and national regulatory authorities.
